The Helen Wycherley Heritage Association is devoted to preserving the rich tapestry of our maritime history through the restoration of the historical lifeboat, ‘Helen’. Built in 1962, Helen is not just a vessel; she is a symbol of hope, courage, and resilience, having saved countless lives at sea.   We are restoring Helen to her former glory to serve our community, particularly young disabled   children battling ADHD and learning difficulties.

The respite provided through our historical educational and vocational tours will have a   transformative effect on these children’s mental health and personal development. With the rising prevalence of mental health issues amongst youngsters today, our initiative stands to offer a sanctuary that promotes  healing and well-being.

Explore our range of activities centered around the lifeboat, offering unique experiences that  connect history and wellness.
Join us for lifeboat adventures that not only honor our maritime heritage but also promote mental well-being.
